Last season this was a Championship fixture, but who will triumph now Norwich and QPR are mixing it with the big boys?

The sides were successfully chasing the dream of promotion to the Premier League last time they met, and it was Norwich who came out on top. The Canaries won 1-0 at Carrow Road in January, after holding QPR to a 0-0 stalemate at Loftus Road earlier in the season.

A lot has happened since these teams made the automatic promotion sports their own, and they are currently hanging around mid-table in the Premier League with QPR (9th) just sneaking ahead of Norwich (11th).

Neil Warnock’s side have had a tough run of fixtures and he will no doubt be happy with the return of six points from the last four matches against Chelsea and Man City at home and Spurs and Stoke away. If he wants his side to push on to the next level, however, this is exactly the type of fixture they must win. They can be backed at best odds of 5/2 (Victor Chandler – £75 free bets), which looks a very decent price given their last match was the 3-2 win at Stoke.

Norwich, though, have had their fair share of decent results this season including a 1-1 draw at Anfield against Liverpool. They haven’t won since they met the third promoted side, Swansea, back in mid-October, however, and we think they won’t quite have enough to get the three points here. Five of the last seven matches between the sides have been decided by a single goal, one of the other two ended 0-0. As such, backing under 2.5 goals looks a good bet at odds of 13/15 (188Bet), or for the brave, back under 1.5 goals at 14/5 (Sportingbet).
