This is a match that will go a long way to determining which team joins QPR in the automatic promotion places to the Premier League. Victory for Norwich would take them seven points clear of the Swans and the Canaries boast the best away record in the division, with Paul Lambert looking forward to the run-in.
Wes Hoolahan appears to have recovered from a hamstring injury, although the Norwich manager has refused to disclose his team’s starting line-up for the Saturday evening kick-off.
“We’ll have to wait and see,” he said. “I’ll have a chat with him this morning and see what we think. I know the team that will start. The lads did well last weekend but you try and pick the best team that you think is going to win a game”.
Swansea can move to within one point of their opponents with a victory at the Liberty Stadium, a ground that has served them well this season with twelve wins from nineteen matches.
Brendan Rodgers is looking for an improved performance after losing at Preston on Saturday and knows that any more slip-ups could mean the lottery of the play-offs.
“Our platform is our defensive structure and that has dropped off a bit in the last weeks,” said Rodgers.
“Clean sheets are very important to us, as well as scoring goals and we’ll look to get back to that on the weekend.”
