So Russell Grant has finally been given the boot from Strictly Come Dancing, so who will follow him and who will be left to entertain us?

Alex Jones and partner James had their best week yet as they shared the top of the leader board with the ever-impressive Chelsee Healey and Pasha. Russell Grant once again finished bottom, and his high-jinks moment of being fired out of a cannon (albeit very slowly) was not sufficient to garner enough public support to save his bacon once again.

With another impressive performance from Chelsee, we stick with our prediction she will go all the way and lift the Glitterball Trophy. She can still be backed at odds of 10/3 (888sport) and is only the third favourite, despite being the most consistent dancer.

Anita Dobson and Robin looked reasonable without setting the Wembley crowd alight. We had tipped her to get eliminated, but this week it could be between her and Robbie Savage, who seems to get marked low each week by the judges. Anita can be backed at a best price of evens (Betfred – £50 free bets) to go this time, while Robbie and Ola are a decent-looking 11/2 (Stan James – £150 free betting).

Harry is still leading the pack as favourite in the overall winner market and he can be backed at 6/4 (Stan James). Jason Donovan remains second favourite with the bookies despite appearing to have reached something of a plateau in terms of his dancing ability. Alex Jones could now be the dark horse of the competition, with the high marks of last week giving her the necessary confidence to kick on. She can be backed at fantastic odds of 25/1 (Paddy Power) to win the competition. If she puts in another good performance this week the odds will tumble, so get on while you can.
