Who’s for the Drop in 20/21?
The regular Premier League season may have come to an end but already the leading bookmakers are busy pricing up the possible contenders for relegation at the end of 2020/21.
Play-off Waiting Game
The Championship play-offs have yet to be decided and one of four possible sides could join West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United in the Premier League next season. Nevertheless as things stand it is the Baggies who are the bookies’ pick to drop straight back down to the Championship at the end of the campaign. A general 11/10 is up for grabs on Slaven Bilic’s men to return back to the second tier at the first time of asking while Championship title winners Leeds United are a 7/2 punt to be relegated.
New Arrivals
Marcelo Bielsa’s side look set to be boosted by some new arrivals during the summer, some of these high profile such as Thiago Almada (assuming that this potential transfer actually goes ahead). As such, the general consensus amongst the bookmakers is that the West Yorkshire outfit will manage to keep their heads above water throughout the 2020/21 campaign. Indeed you can grab yourself a healthy 200/1 that the Whites actually win the Premier League Title next season, the same odds as Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City.
Favourites
As already mentioned, we still await the outcome of the Championship play-offs and whoever joins West Brom and Leeds United in the top flight for next season will almost certainly find themselves installed as one of the favourites to drop straight back down to the second tier at the first time of asking.
