A huge Sunday afternoon game sees league leaders Man City travel to Anfield for a mouth-watering clash with Liverpool.

If Mancini’s men can take all three points from such a big match then it would take a brave punter to bet against them winning the Premier League title. They are rated as a 13/8 shot with Betfred (£50 free bets) to win the game and that is a reflection of their domestic dominance this season. They have dropped just two points thus far and have travelled to the two sides directly below them in the league and won 5-1 and 6-1.

They have a wealth of talent in every position and no more so than in the final third of the pitch. No side has been able to stop them scoring – in fact only twice have they scored less than three. City players occupy the three spots at the top of the market for first goal, with Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli all at shorter odds than the 7/1 (Ladbrokes) offered for Luis Suarez.

If Liverpool are to get anything from the game it seems they will have to score, given the vast firepower of the away side. Liverpool are outsiders for the win at 2/1 with Stan James (£150 free betting) and, even at home, may consider a draw (12/5 William Hill) a decent result.

Dalglish’s men had been in indifferent form but last week scored a superb victory over Chelsea in London. However, unusually for the Reds, Anfield has seemed more of a burden than a boost this season. Liverpool have not beaten a side currently higher than 17th in the table at home and have drawn four of six in front of their own fans.

With just one clean sheet at home this season they are up against it to take anything from the game. We take City to put European disappointment behind them and claim victory with both teams to score (4/6 – Betfred) a solid selection.
