Tottenham supporters have enjoyed their Champions League adventure so far, with the team beating Young Boys in a play-off before a draw with Werder Bremen and a victory over FC Twente in the group stages.
A tough task awaits them when they face Inter Milan at the San Siro on Wednesday, although Harry Redknapp has urged his team to focus on their next match which is Fulham away on Saturday.
Redknapp knows that the team’s Champions League exploits could prevent Spurs from managing a top four performance in the Premier League again this term and has reminded his players why they are lining up against Inter on Wednesday.
“It is hard balancing the Champions League with the Premier League,” said Redknapp
“But they’ve got to concentrate on the trip to Craven Cottage. That is the key now.
“The league position is all important because unless we win the Champions League we are not going to qualify for the Champions League next year.
“If we want to play Champions League football like Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal invariably do every year we have to finish in the top four again. That is our priority.”
Redknapp is considering whether to field Ledley King, who may not be able to play two matches in the space of five days.
