All eyes will once again be on Fernando Torres, the £50 million striker who has now gone five games without scoring for new club Chelsea. The Spaniard is clearly suffering from a lack of confidence; although Carlo Ancelotti won’t be too concerned considering that the Blues have won their last three matches.

That includes a 2-0 win in Copenhagen which means that the English champions should book their place in the quarter finals of the Champions League relatively easily, with the manager praising the consistent form of Petr Cech which has allowed Chelsea to steady the ship.

“Petr is one of the best keepers in the world and his best quality, when compared with the other keepers, is his consistency.

“He is very professional, with a very strong personality but, at the same time, he is a humble, unselfish man.”

Meanwhile, John Terry has issued a rallying call to his team-mates and still believes that Chelsea have the potential to land a Premier League and Champions League double.

The central defender is reportedly about to be offered the England captain’s armband again and Terry believes that Chelsea can still make this a season to remember.

He said: “We could still make this a good season and we’re up for the challenge.

“It’s time to show what we’re capable of. This is a massive time for us.”

FC Copenhagen were outclassed at the Parken Stadium three weeks ago, although they will be looking to score the first goal on Wednesday night and claw their way back into the tie.
