We’re down to the last sixteen of the Champions League, with the best teams in Europe battling it out for a place in the Wembley final on 28 May.

It is clear that there will not be enough tickets to go round, with just 50,000 available for the supporters of the two finalists and a further 11,000 tickets available for the general public. However, there is further outrage at UEFA’s decision to charge inflationary prices.

The cheapest ticket will be £176 and will include a £26 administration fee which seems odds considering that it is only a matter of pence to send out something by post.

“These prices are absolutely outrageous and take ticket pricing to an absurdly stratospheric new level,” said the Football Supporters Federation chairman Malcolm Clarke. “In a difficult economic climate, not only in this country but across Europe, where supporters may be coming from, this represents disgraceful exploitation of fans.”

In addition to the £150 tickets, there are also tickets priced at £225 and £300 available for the general public, while cheaper tickets of £80 will be available to the supporters of the two clubs involved.
