There was a night of high drama at the Nou Camp where Arsenal had one foot in the quarter final throughout the first half and for a short spell in the second period before Barcelona turned the screw to win 4-3 on aggregate.
Barca were by far the superior team throughout the ninety minutes, although they were aided by what appeared to be a poor refereeing decision in the 56th minute when Robin van Persie was sent off for supposedly kicking the ball away.

Two minutes later and Barcelona finally had the aggregate lead. Laurent Koscielny felled Pedro and Lionel Messi made no mistake from the spot.
