Arsenal v Huddersfield latest FA Cup news
Arsenal have not won any silverware since 2005, although that looks likely to change this season after the Gunners booked their place in the Carling Cup final with a 3-0 win over Ipswich on Tuesday.
Remarkably, it was the fourth game running that Arsene Wenger’s team have scored three goals and you wouldn’t bet against them finding the net plenty of times against a Terriers team who aren’t renowned for their great defending.
Wenger is feeling very positive about his team’s prospects this term, with the north London outfit still competing on four different fronts.
“We want to go for all the competitions,” the Arsenal manager said. “We have learned something from Leeds and Ipswich, and that is you have to be 100 per cent focused.
“We play Huddersfield on Sunday at the Emirates, so to be capable to focus on that game will be vital for us.”
Huddersfield arrive at the Emirates Stadium with nothing to lose and Lee Clark will be looking for his team to try and cause problems for an Arsenal team likely to be without Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie.
Town are third in League One although they have failed to find the net in their last two matches and were involved in a disappointing 0-0 draw with Colchester on Saturday.
“We’ve got to be realistic – we’re preparing to face some of the best players in world football,” Clark told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
“You don’t know when this kind of game will come round again so you have to go there and focus on putting up a fantastic show.”
